PKU-PolyU Centre is Being Rated "Excellent" in Peking University’s 2023 Annual Review

The 2023 annual review of the Humanities and Social Sciences Virtual Body Institute of Peking University has been completed, and the Peking University- The Hong Kong Polytechnic University China Social Work Research Centre (PKU-PolyU Centre) has once again been rated as "excellent." As of May 2024, there are 303 virtual research institutions in the humanities and social sciences at Peking University, and 31 of them were rated as "excellent".

Since 2022, the annual review results for Peking University's virtual research institutes have been divided into four grades: excellent, qualified, basically qualified, and unqualified. The main criteria include the institutes' performance as academic platforms, their talent attraction and retention, the implementation of impactful academic activities, and the output of outstanding research achievements. Among them, the number of excellent institutions does not exceed 10% of the total. In the past two consecutive annual reviews, the PKU-PolyU Centre has been awarded with this prestigious “excellent” distinction.

Going forward, the PKU-PolyU Centre will continue to conduct research, publish, provide training, and engage in domestic and international exchange and collaboration, to promote the thriving progress of China's social work profession and contribute to the high-quality development of social construction, social governance, and social services in the process of China's modernization.
