China and Global Development Network received a delegation from the University of Warsaw, Poland on 9 March 2023.

China and Global Development Network (Network) of the Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS) received a delegation from the University of Warsaw (UW), Poland on 9 March 2023. The delegates are Prof. Daniel Przastek, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, together with Dr Maria Theiss and Dr Bartosz Pieliński, Assistant Professors of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at UW. Dr Ben Ku, Director of CGDN, and Ms Kan Yip, the Assistant Director (Development and Partnership) of CGDN welcomed the group and led them around the Network. Telling the stories behind artefacts displayed in the Network, they introduced the Network’s many projects around the world.

Dr Ku gave a presentation on the mission, structure, and recent works of Network and promoted the HK PhD Fellowship scheme. Prof. Christopher Chao, Vice President of PolyU (Research and Innovation), Prof. Eric Chui, Head of APSS and Dr Chili Wu, Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering joined the group and introduced the Policy Research Centre for Innovation and Technology to the delegates. They held great interest in the many projects of APSS. The group continued their convivial discussions on the topics of social research in Hong Kong and Warsaw afterwards.
