“Online Capacity Building on Social Work Practice Research” organised by the China and Global Development Network of APSS and the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was successfully held on 7 October 2021. This online workshop was the second one to introduce the key concepts and approaches on Social Work Practice Research and to share the research from different countries. International scholars from China, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Italy, Poland and South Korea had shared valuable experiences in social work practice research to more than 50 social work educators, researchers and practitioners from Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tagikistan and Uzbekistan.

The next workshop is planned to be in April/May 2022 at KazNU on practice research.
