On 7 November 2025, CGDN was delighted to host an exchange between the Child-Friendly Justice Project Team of Save the Children (the Team) and the Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The visit opened with a warm welcome from Prof. Eric CHUI (Chair Professor of Social Work and Criminology, and Head of APSS) and Prof. Ben KU (Director of CGDN). Mr David LUI, Executive Officer of APSS, and Mr CHAN Hiu Fai, Service Director (Youth Service) at the Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service - Hong Kong, shared insights on the juvenile justice system and outreach social work. An expert from the Team also delivered a presentation on developments in juvenile justice in Chinese Mainland.

The Team explored Hong Kong's expertise in the roles of social work in the juvenile justice system and rehabilitation, expressing keen interest in future cooperation—a promising gateway to stronger child-friendly justice and social work partnerships.
