The Hong Kong Polytechnic University-Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Centre for Sustainable Development in Central Asia kicked off the Narrative Approach in Social Work Training Series on 22-24 May 2025. The first module was led by Dr LIT Siu Wai, a member of CGDN’s Management Committee together with Dr Alpha LAM, Ms May SIU, and Dr Kan YIP, Assistant Director (Partnership and Development) of CGDN. It attracted 35 practitioners and academics in Kazakhstan.

Participants engaged in experiential activities, writing personal stories about cultural challenges and reviewing them in pairs using narrative techniques. This event underscores CGDN’s commitment to cooperate on social work development with its Central Asian counterparts.
