iYouth – Social & Sustainable Youth Development Programme
Project Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Project Period: 1 March 2025 – 31 March 2029
Project Description: Building on the success of the Integrated Food Security and Forest Fire Protection Project for Leadership Home Children in Chiang Mai, Thailand and the Alpha Café & Future Entrepreneur Project, the China and Global Development Network (CGDN) initiated the iYouth – Social & Sustainable Youth Development Programme to empower young people through intercultural exchange, leadership development, and community engagement. The programme brings together hill-tribe youth, Thai youth, and international youth living in or visiting Northern Thailand, providing a safe and inclusive platform for participants to exchange ideas, share cultures, develop friendships, and learn from one another. Through youth-led activities, training programmes, cultural exchanges, and community-based initiatives, the programme aims to foster positive values, strengthen social cohesion, inspire hope for the future, and promote mutual understanding across diverse cultural backgrounds. By encouraging active participation and collaboration, the programme seeks to nurture socially responsible young leaders who can contribute to sustainable development within their communities and beyond.
