Dear All,
We cordially invite you to submit an abstract for an oral presentation at the 2nd International Conference of the ASEAN Social Work and Social Development 2025. This conference is being organised by the China and Global Development Network of the Department of Applied Social Sciences at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand, the ASEAN Training on Social Work and Social Welfare Center, the Social Work Professions Council of Thailand, and the Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a diverse region with unique social, economic, and cultural characteristics. The social work profession plays a pivotal role in addressing the myriad challenges faced by the communities within these nations, ranging from poverty alleviation to disaster response and from youth empowerment to elderly care. Social development in ASEAN is intrinsically linked to the region's progress and stability, making it essential to invest in the capacity of social workers and to foster an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
The purpose of this conference is to create a platform where social work professionals, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders across ASEAN member states (AMS) and beyond, can come together to engage in meaningful dialogues and networking. Accepted AMS abstracts for in-person presentations will receive travel grants. If the number exceeds the quota, a selection review will occur.
